First Responders Making A Difference is proud to present a check for $7,500 in support of the 2019 Camp Hope experience. The Thurston County Sheriffs Office provides volunteer support staff for the youth camp experience, giving participating youth positive interactions with law enforcement officers.

The Camp HOPE America program is an evidence based, secular, camping and mentoring program for children and youth who have witnessed domestic violence and experienced trauma.  Overseen by the Alliance for HOPE International, Camp HOPE America programs have been shown to help young people develop the mental skills and resilience needed to overcome the effects that Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) such as trauma can exert on them.
